Caston Village Fete
1950’s themed village fete. Sideshows, stalls, games and traditional fayre.
Held in conjunction with the Nostalgia “Petal and Purl” weekend
The Committee will organise a competition for the Best Homemade Victoria Sponge. This will be in memory of Mrs Evelyn Harrand. Evelyn was certainly the champion of all Victoria sponge makers. Please use your own recipe and it must be filled with jam only. All profits raised at the Village Fete will be shared by Caston Village Hall, Caston WI and Holy Cross Church. We encourage all visitors and stallholders to dress in their 1950’s regalia to add to the atmosphere of the village occasion. Please bring your homemade Victoria Sandwich on the afternoon of the fete for display and judging. We look forward to seeing you on what promises to be a very nostalgic weekend in Caston.
