A group of well-known artists will open their studio doors to visitors throughout the beautiful landscapes of the Waveney Valley.

Members of Harleston and Waveney Art Trail will throw open their studio doors across fourteen locations in September.

The free event will be accompanied by a taster exhibition at The Old Harnessmakers Gallery in Harleston, acting as hub for visitors to get a taste of the work on offer throughout the open studios event.

With warm weather forecast, it’s the perfect opportunity for locals and visitors alike to explore how and where artists work in the stunning landscapes of south Norfolk and north Suffolk.

A range of artworks will be on offer including contemporary and traditional landscape painting, abstract painting and drawing, printmaking and figurative sculpture, plus greetings cards and prints made from the artists’ original artwork.

The fourteen artists participating in the Trail are Kath Wallace, Caryl Challis, Bobbie Watchorn, Carolyn Moulton, Sara Johnson, Noelle Francis, Barbara Bernard, Paul Zawadzki, Tim Summerson, Lin Patterson, Ingrid Duffy, Nell Close, Rosemary Elliott and Andrew Vessey.

The artist’s studios are dotted around the valley, in Harleston, Redenhall, Topcroft, Earsham, Ditchingham, Hedenham, Bungay, Flixton, St Cross South Elmham, Homersfield, Wortwell, Wingfield and Fressingfield.

The studios will be open over the weekends of 4th – 5th, 11th – 12th and 18th – 19th September while the gallery will host the exhibition between 27th August and 26th September.

A leaflet detailing opening dates and locations for each venue is available to pick up in locations across the region and all the information is also available online at www.hwat.org.uk
