Wreningham Heritage Group
With the kind permission of the BBC we will be playing an old Radio Norfolk broadcast – “Village Voice” – from December 1981 in which Wally Webb interviewed 10 prominent Wreningham residents.
The 55 minute recording includes interviews with:
Dennis Long (of Long’s wood fame) Dorothy Folwell Women’s Institute),
Reverend Henry Brierley May Howlett/Ruth Hadad (Bird in Hand),
Gerry Baldwin (plant nursery) Colin Spratt (coaches)
Vivian Horrabin (school head) Dennis Nudd (VH Chair)
Ian Foster (village sign creator) Mabel Ireland (Post Mistress)
– all well-known residents from the time.
Tea and cake will be available for a small charge after the recording and an
opportunity to discuss what we have just heard.
